The Texas Taekwondo Varsity League (TTVL) works with the national governing body, USA Taekwondo, and the (United States Collegiate Taekwondo (USCT). TTVL provides training for high school students, as well as a circuit in which they may compete in for sponsorship opportunities and eventually, for Varsity Letters. This pathway will take them through their schools, their districts, and eventually to the National High School Championships, held concurrently with the National Collegiate Championships. TTVL is a non-profit organization and our goal is to actively develop taekwondo as a mainstream high school sport similar to football and basketball. Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to work to serve our students and the community!
To develop Taekwondo as a NCAA recognized sport through the creation of the Texas High School League and the leading path to provide varsity letters for these high school students. Also, to give all high school students the opportunity to learn/compete in taekwondo at their local high school as a Varsity Sport.
To provide a physical outlet for high school students that will teach respect, discipline, independence, persistence and integrity while establishing taekwondo as a USA sport.
