AAU Nationals & JR. Olympics Qualifier.
2020 AAU Southwest District Championships!
This is the FIRST AAU QUALIFIER in Texas for the 2020 Nationals in Las Vegas , NV. Open for all ages and belts. Farfans Taekwondo is excited to announce their second annual AAU Championships in Grand Prairie , Texas. Athletes and coaches from around the USA will take in the sights and sounds of the entertainment in Grand Prairie /Arlington, and take part in this AAU Championship!

Pre-registration: now - Jan 19, 2020 for $100 for 2 events, $125 for 3 events or more.
Late registration: Jan 20-29, 2020 (a late fee of $25 is applied) $125 for 2 events,
$150 for 3 events or more.
**NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER DEADLINE OR AT THE DOOR. This allows us time to bracket the events **
Spectator fee: Adults–$15, Children 6–12 $10, Ages 5 and under–Free

SPECIAL NEEDS DIVISION INFORMATION
1.- FULL MOBILITY: Students / Participants in this category have full mobility of their arms and legs, they can stand and balance for as long as necessary and are able to kick above the waist.
LIMITED MOBILITY: Students / Participants in this category have limited mobility of their arms and / or legs. They cannot stand or balance for long periods of time, and they cannot kick above the waist.
WHEELCHAIR COMPETITORS: Students / Participants in this category can only move using a wheelchair. Assistance is not required when moving and they can maneuver their movements using their own arms.
Sparing for each category will be scored as follows. Judges will also keep in mind the competitor’s abilities to maintain a fair competition.
-NO HEAD KICKS, KICKING TECHNIQUE TO THE BODY USING THE INSTEP AND / OR FLAT OF THE FOOT (two points)
-CLOSED FIST TO THE BODY (one point)
Criteria: MUST BE light contact
-NO HEAD KICKS, CLOSED FIST LANDED TO THE BOBY (one point) OBVIOUS INTENTION OF KICKING TO THE BODY (two points)
Criteria: Intention or light contact to the body or intent TO kick, will be counting as a point.
WHEELCHAIR: Sport wheelchair required
-CLOSED FIST STRIKES LANDED TO THE HEAD (one point)
-CLOSED FIST STRIKES LANDED TO THE BODY (two points)
Criteria: MUST BE light contact to the head.
FORMS: The Special Abilities form division will be judge using the following criteria:
Competitors will be grouped into Full mobility, Limited, mobility, and Wheelchair as well as two sub-groups being assisted and non-assisted.
ASSISTED COMPETITORS: These are athletes that require any help from an Instructor / student in order to complete their form.
NON-ASSISTED COMPETITORS: These athletes can perform their form on their own without the need of any additional help.
Equipment required: the student MUST wear a chest protector.
The competitor / student MUST wear all the time head gear, mouthpiece, sparring gloves, boots or instep guards.
